MB-16S Blade

The MB-16S Xeon MP Server Blade offers the same features as the SM-B470A server blade and adds 2 Hot-Swap SCA SCSI drive bays provided by a storage expansion module. With up to 4 Xeon processors MP at up to 2.8 GHz and 2MB cache, this server blade makes front-end, infrastructure, mid-tier and back-end applications possible on a single modular platform.

• Support for up to two Ultra320 SCSI hot-swap hard disk drives (80-pin, SCA-2 connectors) available in an optional SCSI storage expansion unit which connects to the server blade. Contains LSI Logic* 53C1020 Ultra320 SCSI controller. Maximum data transfer: 320MB/sec on each Ultra320 LVD channel, suppports RAID-1 mirroring.
