CONVERTIBLE RAID SYSTEM PROVIDES FLEXIBLE SATA-II STORAGE
San Diego, November 15, 2004—MPAK Technologies, Inc. added the P24000 to its Momentum line of Serial ATA (SATA) RAID arrays. The P24000 is the first SATA-II array that offers across-the-board compatibility by supporting SATA-I and parallel ATA drives in addition to the newest SATA-II hard drives with features such as native command queuing (NCQ). The 8-bay convertible desktop or tower subsystem is ideal for departmental and small office use.
The new convertible P24000 provides for cascading by stacking a maximum of four desktop enclosures together to create capacity expansion up to 12TB. With its attractive design, ergonomic push-button drive trays with key-lock security, and value price point, the P24000 is ideal for direct attached storage applications in digital media, broadcast, medical imaging, and security.
Momentum RAID subsystems offer unparalleled
flexibility with 64TB capacity per logical drive (LD); multiple logical
drive configurations each with a different RAID level; online expansion
for adding, copying, and replacing drives; configurable optimization mode;
background LD initialization; and multi-host support. Broad RAID level
support includes 0, 1(0+1), 3, 5, 10, 30, 50, JBOD, and NRAID.
